Are you passionate about water sports? Do you have the skills and energy to guide guests through unforgettable aquatic adventures? We are seeking an experienced Watersports Guide to join our team and provide our guests with exceptional experiences on the water.
As a Watersports Guide, you will play a key role in enhancing our guests’ stay, offering them exciting and safe experiences that showcase the natural beauty of the Maldives. Your role will require you to have expert knowledge of various water sports activities, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with guests to ensure a fun, memorable, and safe experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
As a Watersports Guide at Ayada Maldives, you will be responsible for:
- Leading guests in a wide variety of water sports, including kayaking, windsurfing, jet skiing, paddleboarding, snorkeling, and more.
- Ensuring the safety of guests by educating them on water sports safety measures and providing equipment training.
- Offering expert advice and guidance to guests to enhance their experience and encourage participation in water activities.
- Maintaining and managing water sports equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Assisting with organizing and supervising group water sports activities and excursions.
- Providing exceptional guest service at all times, creating positive and lasting memories for our guests.
- Acting as an ambassador for Ayada Maldives, ensuring that every guest enjoys a high standard of service in a safe, friendly, and professional manner.
- Monitoring weather conditions and tides to ensure that activities are safe and enjoyable for guests.
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of new water-based activities and excursions.
- Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of all watersports areas, including beaches and boat docks.
Candidate Qualifications:
To be considered for the Watersports Guide position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in the relevant field of watersports, ideally within a luxury resort or a similar environment in the Maldives or other tropical destinations.
- A strong background in watersports, with in-depth knowledge of equipment and techniques related to various water-based activities.
- Proven excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse range of guests from around the world.
- Energetic and positive attitude, with the ability to remain professional and calm in all situations.
- A proactive approach to ensuring guest satisfaction and maintaining the highest levels of safety.
- Ability to live and work in a small multicultural environment, where team collaboration and adaptability are essential.
- Experience in supervising and leading groups in outdoor activities, preferably in water sports.
- A certification in first aid or lifeguard training will be highly regarded, but not essential.
- A passion for guest service and the desire to create memorable experiences for each guest.
- Ability to work in a team and under pressure while maintaining high standards of service.
