Position Available: Waiter (Local)
Coco Bodu Hithi is currently seeking a Waiter (Local) to join its exceptional food and beverage team. This is a full-time position based at the resort, and it requires a highly motivated and dedicated individual who can maintain the high standards of hospitality that Coco Bodu Hithi is known for.
Key Responsibilities: As a Waiter at Coco Bodu Hithi, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service and ensuring that all dining experiences are seamless, enjoyable, and memorable. Your primary duties will include:
- Professional Guest Service: Provide guests with professional, courteous, and efficient service throughout their dining experience. You will ensure that every guest feels valued, welcome, and comfortable.
- Guest Interaction: Acknowledge guests promptly upon arrival at the restaurant and assist with seating, offering appropriate beverages, and taking orders. You’ll ensure a positive and welcoming atmosphere for every guest.
- Menu Knowledge and Recommendations: Offer expert suggestions and menu specialties to guests, ensuring that their dining choices are enjoyable. Participate in upselling and sales efforts while offering personalized recommendations.
- Order Accuracy: Take orders in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring that the correct food and beverage items are served. You will play a key role in ensuring guests are satisfied with their orders.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure the highest level of cleanliness and organization in the service area, including the safety of furniture, fixtures, and fittings. Adhere to cleanliness standards during the opening and closing of the restaurant.
- Handling Complaints: Address and resolve guest complaints with professionalism and in accordance with Coco Bodu Hithi’s policies. Ensure that any issues are handled quickly and to the satisfaction of the guest.
- Restaurant Procedures: Strictly follow all service standards, closing and opening checklists, billing and cashiering procedures, and cleaning checklists to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Waiter (Local) position at Coco Bodu Hithi, candidates should meet the following qualifications and experience:
- Education: A Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
- Work Experience: A minimum of 1 year of work experience in a luxury resort or hotel setting is required. Experience in the Maldives or other remote locations will be an advantage.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in English are essential. The ability to interact with guests from diverse backgrounds and provide clear, courteous service is a key component of this role.
- Work Ethic: A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills are a must.
