Job Position: Reservation Agent

The Reservation Agent position at The Nautilus Maldives is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and service-oriented individual to join our vibrant team. As a Reservation Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our potential guests, working to understand their needs and preferences, and ensuring that their reservation process is smooth and efficient.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Managing Reservations: You will be responsible for handling incoming reservations requests via email, phone, and online channels. This includes processing bookings, confirming availability, and making necessary adjustments to existing reservations.
  • Providing Personalized Service: Understanding the personalized nature of The Nautilus, you will engage with guests to understand their preferences and tailor their reservations to meet their specific requirements.
  • Guest Communication: Act as the first point of contact for guests inquiring about accommodation, services, and facilities, offering detailed information and ensuring a smooth booking experience.
  • Handling Special Requests: You will be expected to facilitate special requests, such as room preferences, dining arrangements, and other bespoke services, ensuring that all guest expectations are met.
  • Managing Inventory: Monitor room availability, pricing, and restrictions, ensuring that inventory is managed effectively to maximize occupancy and revenue while still providing guests with exceptional service.
  • Collaborating with the Front Office Team: Work closely with the Front Office and Sales departments to coordinate bookings, manage special requests, and maintain communication on room status.
  • Upselling & Promotion: Engage in upselling additional services, experiences, and packages that align with the guest’s interests and preferences, adding value to their stay.
  • Reservation System Maintenance: Maintain up-to-date records in the reservation system, ensuring all guest information is accurate and secure.
  • Handling Payments: Ensure that payments are processed accurately and securely, handling deposits, cancellations, and refunds according to the resort’s policies.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a reservation or customer service role within the luxury hospitality industry. Previous experience in an ultra-luxury environment is highly preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: You must have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every guest’s request is handled with precision.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with reservation systems, and proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) is an advantage.
  • Customer Service Orientation: A strong passion for delivering exceptional service and anticipating the needs of our guests.
  • Professional Demeanor: A polished and professional approach, with a calm and collected attitude even in high-pressure situations.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the resort and delivery of exceptional service.
  • Flexible and Adaptable: Must be able to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the needs of our guests.
