About the Role: Income Auditor
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Income Auditor to join our finance team at RAAYA by Atmosphere. The Income Auditor will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the resort’s financial records by ensuring that all revenue generated at the resort is accurately recorded and compliant with internal controls. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily audits, reconciling discrepancies, and preparing financial reports while adhering to the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.
In this role, you will work closely with various departments, ensuring that all transactions are documented, verified, and reconciled in accordance with RAAYA’s financial policies. You will also assist in preparing daily financial reports and contribute to maintaining transparency and compliance within the resort’s financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
As the Income Auditor at RAAYA by Atmosphere, your responsibilities will include:

Conduct Daily Revenue Audits:
- Review and verify the accuracy of all revenues generated at the resort, including room rates, food and beverage sales, spa services, and recreational activities.
- Ensure that all revenue is accurately recorded and that any discrepancies are identified and reported promptly.

Reconcile and Monitor Revenue Sources:
- Reconcile commissions, room rate discrepancies, and banquet revenue to ensure all income is accounted for.
- Track and audit bills, payments, non-arrivals, voids, and refunds, ensuring all entries are accurate and compliant with financial policies.

Verify Guest Transactions:
- Review guest transactions to ensure that all covers are recorded accurately.
- Confirm that advance deposits and payments are correctly applied, and verify that these amounts match the cash banked and accounts receivable.

Monitor Compliance and Financial Policies:
- Ensure that all financial activities are in compliance with RAAYA's internal controls and auditing standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial data and ensure that it is handled with the utmost integrity.

Assist with Financial Reporting:
- Work closely with the finance team to prepare daily financial reports, providing accurate summaries of revenue and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial information is timely and accurate.

Liaise with Relevant Departments:
- Communicate with various hotel departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Provide support to other departments when necessary, ensuring smooth operations across the resort.
Core Attributes & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following attributes and qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a similar role in a hotel or resort environment. Previous experience in auditing within the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
- Education: Specialized education in Finance Management or a related field. A degree or certification in accounting or finance is preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen attention to detail. The ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner is essential.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal. Strong communication skills are necessary to liaise with various departments.
- Integrity: A high level of integrity and the ability to work with confidential financial data is a must.
- Team Player: The ability to collaborate in a multicultural environment, contributing positively to a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in accounting software such as Opera and Micros is mandatory. Knowledge of Accounts Receivable will be an additional advantage.
- Island Resort Experience: Previous experience working in an island resort or a similar environment is an advantage.
