Available Position: In-House DJ
Siyam World is seeking an In-House DJ to become a key player in our entertainment team. This role is ideal for someone with a deep passion for music, live performances, and engaging with large crowds. As our In-House DJ, you will play an integral part in creating memorable and vibrant entertainment experiences for our guests.
Primary Responsibilities:
As the In-House DJ, your main responsibility is to create an electrifying atmosphere and ensure guests are always entertained with energetic and dynamic music sets. This includes:
- Live DJ Performances: You will be responsible for performing at various events, poolside parties, beach bonfires, and other entertainment-driven venues within the resort. Your performances will cater to different moods and themes, creating an unforgettable experience for every guest.
- Tailoring Music for Various Events: You will adapt your music sets to suit the vibe of each event. Whether it's a laid-back sunset session, an upbeat pool party, or a high-energy nightclub event, you will be expected to cater to the crowd's preferences and maintain an engaging atmosphere.
- Mastering Diverse Music Genres: Your expertise will shine in genres such as Beach-Style Rock, Indie, Tropical House, Deep House, R&B, Hip-Hop, Latin/Reggaeton Dance Pop, EDM, Techno, Tech House, and more. You’ll be responsible for mixing and blending these styles to create seamless transitions that keep the crowd energized.
- Creating Memorable Experiences: Your talent will bring energy and fun to our guests’ stay, turning every event into an unforgettable experience. You will play a vital role in establishing Siyam World as the go-to destination for entertainment in the Maldives.
- Collaborating with the Entertainment Team: You will work closely with the resort’s entertainment team, event planners, and other departments to coordinate music for various events and ensure the smooth operation of entertainment programs.
- Engaging with Guests: As an In-House DJ, your role will extend beyond the DJ booth. You will interact with guests, take requests, and ensure they are having a great time. This will allow you to create a personal connection and add a unique touch to their experience.
- Maintaining Equipment: You will also be responsible for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your DJ equipment to ensure high-quality sound throughout your performances.
- Participating in Special Projects: From time to time, you may be asked to collaborate with other departments on special projects or events that require your musical expertise, enhancing the resort’s brand image and atmosphere.
Candidate Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, we are looking for a talented and experienced DJ who can bring energy, creativity, and professionalism to every event. The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- Minimum 2 Years of Experience: You must have at least two years of experience performing in front of large audiences, preferably between 200-500 people. Your ability to engage a crowd and adapt to different event types is crucial.
- Strong Speaking Voice and Good Diction: You should be comfortable speaking to a crowd, making announcements, introducing music, and engaging with the audience in a clear and professional manner.
- Excellent Verbal Communication Skills: Your ability to communicate effectively and confidently with guests and the entertainment team is essential. You should be able to accept constructive feedback and work well under pressure, especially during live performances.
- Extensive Mixing Experience: You should be experienced in mixing a wide variety of music genres, including Beach-Style Rock, Indie, Tropical House, Deep House, R&B/Hip-Hop, Latin/Reggaeton Dance Pop, EDM, Techno, and Tech House. The ability to read the crowd and adjust your set to match the energy is key.
- Ability to Work Under Pressure: As an In-House DJ, you will often perform in fast-paced and high-energy environments. You must be able to stay calm, focused, and deliver an exceptional performance, regardless of the pressure.
