Position: Human Resource Cum Learning & Development Manager (Exclusive for Maldivians)
Role Overview
As the Human Resource Cum Learning & Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the employee experience at Sun Siyam Vilu Reef. This position combines human resource management with training and development, ensuring that employees receive the necessary guidance, support, and skill development to excel in their roles.
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of HR operations while implementing learning and development programs that align with the resort’s goals and industry standards. Your role will be instrumental in fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with Maldives labor laws, and enhancing employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the human resource functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with Maldives labor laws.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and leadership development.
- Manage the resort’s learning and development initiatives, ensuring that employees receive continuous professional growth opportunities.
- Facilitate orientation and onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
- Provide guidance on HR best practices, workplace policies, and employee benefits.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and career development plans for employees.
- Work closely with department heads to identify training needs and design instructional materials tailored to enhance employee competencies.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment by implementing employee engagement activities.
- Handle sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, employee welfare standards, and resort policies.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role should have:
✔ Strong expertise in training & development, including leadership development and instructional design.
✔ A solid background in human resource management, with at least two years of experience in HR leadership roles within the hospitality industry.
✔ In-depth knowledge of HR processes, labor laws, and industry best practices in the Maldives.
✔ Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
✔ The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
✔ A proactive and adaptable mindset, capable of working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
✔ A Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
