Position: Guest Service Agent

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Guest Service Agent to become part of our dedicated team at Baros Maldives. As the first point of contact for guests, this position plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and memorable guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Guest Service Agent, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties designed to create a positive and personalized experience for each guest. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Guest Check-In and Check-Out:
    You will manage the check-in and check-out processes efficiently and professionally, ensuring that guests feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. This includes verifying guest information, explaining resort amenities, and ensuring all details are correct for a smooth departure.

  • Guest Inquiries:
    Acting as the primary point of contact for all guest inquiries, you will provide information on resort services, dining options, activities, and excursions. You will be expected to answer questions in a timely and knowledgeable manner while embodying Baros' commitment to personalized service.

  • Handling Requests and Concerns:
    You will address guest requests, complaints, and concerns promptly, using your problem-solving skills to ensure guest satisfaction. Whether it's arranging special amenities, handling room preferences, or coordinating transportation, you will ensure that all needs are met with a "can-do" attitude.

  • Collaborating with Team Members:
    As a part of the team, you will work closely with various departments, including housekeeping, maintenance, and the front office, to coordinate guest requests and ensure smooth operations. Your flexibility and ability to work in a team-oriented environment will be key to delivering seamless guest service.

  • Guest Experiences and Activities:
    You will also be involved in promoting resort activities, excursions, and special events. By being proactive, you will help guests plan their experiences on the island, offering personalized recommendations for excursions, spa treatments, and dining experiences.

  • Maintaining Records:
    You will ensure that guest records are accurately maintained, including billing information, guest preferences, and special requests. Attention to detail is essential in this role to ensure that guest history is kept up-to-date and that the resort’s systems are accurate.

  • Health & Safety Procedures:
    You will play an important role in ensuring that Baros' health and safety protocols are followed. This includes following hygiene standards, emergency procedures, and ensuring that all guest interactions adhere to the resort's safety guidelines.


Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a Guest Service Agent who is passionate about hospitality and eager to deliver memorable experiences for every guest. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and attributes:

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar guest-facing role, preferably in a luxury resort or high-end hospitality setting.
  • Luxury resort experience is highly desirable and will be considered an added advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Additional languages are a plus, particularly those commonly spoken by international guests.
  • A positive and motivated attitude with a desire to go above and beyond in meeting guests' needs.
  • Ability to maintain a high standard of grooming and professionalism at all times, in keeping with Baros' luxury standards.
  • Multicultural adaptability: Comfortable working in a small, diverse environment with team members and guests from all over the world.
