Position: F&B Coordinator cum Hostess

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled F&B Coordinator cum Hostess to join our team at Sun Siyam Vilu Reef Resort. This is a unique position that requires a combination of excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, and a passion for hospitality. As an F&B Coordinator cum Hostess, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests enjoy a seamless and memorable dining experience at our resort.

Primary Responsibilities:
As an F&B Coordinator cum Hostess, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Guest Interaction & Service:

    • Greet guests as they arrive at the restaurant, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

    • Coordinate and manage the seating arrangements, ensuring that guests are seated promptly and comfortably.

    • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

    • Offer recommendations and up-sell dining options, contributing to the overall guest experience.

    • Provide information on restaurant menus, promotions, and special events, ensuring guests are informed of all available options.

  • F&B Coordination & Administration:

    • Coordinate with the F&B team to ensure smooth operations, including reservations, staffing, and inventory management.

    • Maintain up-to-date records of reservations and guest preferences, ensuring effective communication with all departments.

    • Support the restaurant management team in scheduling staff and ensuring that dining service standards are met.

    • Assist in managing the dining areas, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper table settings.

  • Event & Special Functions Coordination:

    • Assist in organizing and coordinating private events, group bookings, and special dining experiences at the resort.

    • Work with the culinary team to prepare and execute personalized dining experiences for guests.

    • Ensure that special dietary requirements and guest preferences are communicated clearly to the kitchen team.

  • Customer Satisfaction & Problem-Solving:

    • Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, working to resolve issues promptly and to the guests' satisfaction.

    • Take proactive measures to ensure that guests have an enjoyable dining experience, with special attention to personalized service.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
To be considered for the F&B Coordinator cum Hostess position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a resort or luxury hotel environment.

    • Experience in handling guest interactions and coordinating various F&B operations in a fast-paced setting.

  • Communication Skills:

    • Fluent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. The ability to engage guests in a friendly and professional manner is essential.

    • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to anticipate guest needs and exceed their expectations.

  • Organizational & Time Management Skills:

    • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and maintain organized records.

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task while maintaining high service standards.

  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and provide solutions quickly.

    • Capable of managing challenging situations effectively and maintaining a positive guest experience.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in using MS Office and other relevant software for administrative tasks.

    • Experience with reservation systems and restaurant management tools is desirable.

  • Additional Qualifications:

    • Having Maldivian resort experience is highly desirable but not required.

    • A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and the ability to work within a diverse and cross-functional team are essential qualities for this role.
