Position: Commis Chef – Cold Kitchen
Dusit Thani Maldives is looking for a Commis Chef to join the Cold Kitchen team. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and talented individual with a passion for culinary artistry and a strong foundation in global cuisines.
As a Commis Chef, you will work under the guidance of experienced chefs and play a key role in preparing high-quality dishes while ensuring consistency, hygiene, and efficiency in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cold kitchen dishes according to standard recipes while maintaining high-quality presentation.
- Ensure that mise en place is properly prepared before service, following kitchen guidelines and timeframes.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and properly handling food supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas, food storage, and equipment.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen team members to maintain a smooth and efficient operation.
- Follow HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) guidelines to ensure food safety and hygiene.
- Assist in food and beverage requisitions to ensure that the kitchen has the necessary supplies.
- Be proactive in learning new techniques and enhancing culinary skills to grow in the industry.
- Uphold the highest culinary standards in food preparation, plating, and presentation.
Candidate Qualifications:
