Job Position: Waiter
As a Waiter at Crown and Champa Resorts, you will play a key role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience. You will be at the forefront of delivering excellent customer service while maintaining the resort’s high operational standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Guest Reception & Service: You will greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere as soon as they enter the restaurant.
- Food and Beverage Service: Serving food and beverage orders following the established service standards. You will ensure the timely delivery of orders while maintaining high-quality service and presentation.
- Table Setup: You will be responsible for preparing tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glasses, ensuring that every setting is impeccable for guests.
- Order Taking: You will take accurate food and drink orders, provide menu recommendations, and suggest appropriate wine pairings.
- Up-selling: You will actively engage with guests to up-sell additional products or suggest daily specials when appropriate, enhancing the guest dining experience and driving revenue.
- Guest Experience: Providing empathetic and prompt service with a focus on guest satisfaction. Your ability to listen and communicate effectively will ensure that the guests’ needs are met with precision and care.
- Health & Safety Standards: Following all relevant health, safety, and food hygiene guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment for both guests and staff.
- Efficient Service: Delivering service that is efficient, prompt, and up to the high standards expected of a luxury resort, creating a memorable dining experience for every guest.
- Operational Knowledge: You will be expected to have a strong knowledge of the menu offerings, including food and beverages, and be able to assist guests with recommendations and queries. Additionally, you will need to stay up-to-date with the daily operations of the food and beverage service.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate for the Waiter position will have previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury resort or fine dining setting. Other qualifications include:
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. A strong background in hospitality or customer service is highly valued.
- Organizational & Multitasking Skills: You will need to perform well in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tables and tasks simultaneously without compromising service quality.
- Communication Skills: Active listening and effective communication are essential. The ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English is required.
- Physical Fitness & Grooming: As a front-facing role, candidates must be physically fit, well-groomed, and able to stand or move around for extended periods.
- Shift Flexibility: A willingness to work in shifts is essential. This includes working on weekends and holidays as needed to ensure smooth operations and a seamless guest experience.
