Position: Security Manager
Key Responsibilities
As a Security Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests and employees while maintaining the highest security standards across the resort. Your key duties include:
- Leading, supervising, and participating in the activities of all security personnel to ensure strict implementation of Fire, Life, and Safety procedures.
- Coordinating with law enforcement agencies for investigations, handling incidents involving guests or employees, and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities.
- Conducting regular training sessions for Team Leaders, Senior Security Officers, and Security Officers, ensuring that all security personnel are well-prepared and trained to handle emergencies.
- Maintaining comprehensive key controls and security measures to protect assets, facilities, and people.
- Overseeing safety and risk management protocols, identifying potential security threats, and implementing effective measures to mitigate risks.
- Ensuring that incident reports and security logs are maintained and regularly reviewed for accuracy and compliance.
- Monitoring security systems, including CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, and emergency response procedures, to ensure optimal functionality.
- Providing guidance and leadership to the security team, ensuring a culture of professionalism, vigilance, and commitment to safety.
Candidate Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel or resort security management role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and develop a professional security team.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills to oversee security operations effectively.
- Experience in safety and risk management, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.
- First Aid certification and experience in law enforcement or emergency response services (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both written and spoken English.
- Ability to work in a remote island location, adapting to island life and ensuring operational efficiency in a secluded environment.
