Job Opportunity: Reservations Agent (Female Preferred)
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Reservations Agent to join our reservations team. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless booking experience for our guests, from the first inquiry to the final confirmation.
As a Reservations Agent, you will be the first point of contact for guests planning their dream vacation at Finolhu. You will provide exceptional service, accurate information, and efficient booking assistance while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle guest reservations through various communication channels, including phone, email, and online booking platforms.
- Provide detailed information about Finolhu’s accommodations, amenities, and experiences to assist guests in making informed booking decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of reservations and guest preferences in the PMS system.
- Coordinate with other departments, including front office and sales, to ensure smooth check-in experiences.
- Process modifications, cancellations, and special requests efficiently and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with Luxury Quality Assurance (LQA) standards for reservations.
- Prepare daily and monthly reservation reports and assist in revenue management tasks.
- Stay updated on current promotions, seasonal offers, and resort policies to provide the best recommendations to guests.
- Offer exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Key Competencies & Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should have the following qualifications and skills:
✔ Experience: 1-2 years of experience in hotel reservations, ideally in a 5-star or ultra-luxury resort in the Maldives.
✔ Language Skills: Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written). Additional languages are a plus.
✔ Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Word for preparing reports.
- Working experience with Property Management Systems (PMS) is required.
- Familiarity with Protel PMS is a major advantage, but training will be provided if needed.
✔ Attention to Detail: Ability to handle multiple reservations simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
✔ Customer Service Excellence: A friendly, professional attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
✔ Adaptability: Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
✔ LQA Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with Luxury Quality Assurance (LQA) standards for reservations is an added advantage.
