Reservation Agent – Job Description
As a Reservation Agent at The Nautilus Maldives, you will be the first point of contact for guests planning their stay. Your role is vital in ensuring a seamless and memorable experience from the moment a guest makes an inquiry.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle reservation inquiries via phone, email, and online booking platforms.
- Provide detailed information about accommodation options, special packages, and resort services.
- Process and confirm bookings while ensuring all guest preferences are accurately recorded.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and personalized service in all interactions.
- Coordinate with other departments, including front office, guest services, and sales, to ensure smooth guest arrivals.
- Update and manage the reservation system with accuracy and efficiency.
- Handle modifications and cancellations while following resort policies.
- Ensure guests receive prompt responses to inquiries, maintaining the resort’s reputation for exceptional service.
- Provide recommendations and upsell experiences to enhance the guest stay.
Qualifications & Skills Required
To be a successful Reservation Agent at The Nautilus Maldives, you should possess the following:
- Prior experience in reservations, front office, or sales in a luxury resort or hotel setting.
- Strong communication skills in English; additional languages such as Russian, Arabic, Chinese, or German are a plus.
- Familiarity with hotel reservation systems (Opera, Synxis, or similar) is preferred.
- Excellent telephone etiquette and the ability to provide personalized guest assistance.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.
- A customer-focused mindset with the ability to anticipate guest needs.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards.
