Job Opportunity: Kitchen & Laundry Technician
We are seeking a Kitchen & Laundry Technician to ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen and laundry facilities. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of service and efficiency that define Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa Maldives.
Primary Responsibilities
As a Kitchen & Laundry Technician, you will:
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting for kitchen equipment (ovens, dishwashers, refrigerators, stoves) and laundry machines (washing machines, dryers, ironing systems).
- Ensure all equipment functions safely and efficiently to meet operational demands.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Work closely with the culinary and housekeeping teams to respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventory.
- Identify potential technical issues and recommend solutions for system improvements.
- Follow all safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a secure work environment.
Candidate Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Kitchen & Laundry Technician, preferably in a resort or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems related to kitchen and laundry equipment.
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial-grade appliances.
- A diploma or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Refrigeration Engineering (preferred but not mandatory).
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a commitment to high-quality work.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and emergency call-outs when needed.
