Job Position: Executive Housekeeper
Malahini Kuda Bandos is seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper to oversee the operations of the housekeeping department and ensure all areas of the resort meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The Executive Housekeeper will play a key role in managing the team, ensuring top-quality service, and maintaining inventory controls, all while enhancing the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
The Executive Housekeeper will be responsible for a range of key duties, including but not limited to:

Daily Operations Management: Overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all villas, rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are cleaned to the highest standards.

Team Leadership: Leading, training, motivating, and developing the housekeeping crew to ensure that all team members deliver exceptional service and adhere to the resort’s standards.

Quality Control and Standards: Implementing and enforcing housekeeping standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring quality is consistently maintained across all areas. This includes regular inspections and monitoring of the quality of cleaning, laundry, and linen services.

Collaboration with Other Departments: Coordinating with other departments, such as front desk, food and beverage, and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and that guest requests are met in a timely and efficient manner.

Inventory and Cost Management: Managing housekeeping inventory, ensuring that cleaning products, linens, and other supplies are well-stocked and accounted for. You will also be responsible for budget management and cost control, optimizing the use of resources while maintaining high standards.

Laundry and Linen Management: Maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness in laundry operations, ensuring that linens are well-maintained and ready for use. This includes overseeing laundry staff and ensuring all laundry is properly sorted, washed, and distributed to the appropriate areas.

Guest Experience: Ensuring that every guest room and public area is maintained at the highest level of cleanliness and that any guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping are addressed promptly and professionally.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the Executive Housekeeper role will possess the following qualifications and skills:

Experience: A minimum of 4 years as an Executive Housekeeper in a luxury hotel or resort environment. At least 2 years of experience working in the Maldives is highly preferred.

Team Player and Result-Oriented: Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work as part of a team, ensuring collaboration across departments for smooth operations. The ideal candidate is also results-driven and focuses on achieving objectives while maintaining high-quality standards.

Expertise in Housekeeping Operations: Sound knowledge of all areas of housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, public area maintenance, laundry management, and inventory control.
