Now Hiring: Carpenter (Local Position)
We are currently seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our resort’s maintenance team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our resort maintains its high standards of excellence in structure, design, and guest comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Carpenter at ROBINSON Maldives, your duties will include:
- Carrying out general carpentry and woodwork repairs across the resort, including villas, restaurants, and public areas.
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining wooden structures, furniture, and fixtures.
- Assisting with construction projects, including wooden decks, walkways, and resort facilities.
- Ensuring all carpentry work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with the resort’s standards.
- Conducting regular inspections of wooden structures and making necessary repairs or improvements.
- Collaborating with the maintenance team to complete renovation and repair projects.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations while working with tools and materials.
- Providing creative input for custom woodwork that enhances the resort’s aesthetic appeal.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar carpentry or maintenance role.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to handle repair work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Enthusiastic and willing to work in a multi-national team environment.
- Capable of living and working on a remote island, adapting to island life.
- Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and procedures in carpentry work.
- Physically fit and able to handle manual labor tasks in an outdoor environment.
