About the Role: Pastry Chef

As the Pastry Chef, you will lead the pastry and bakery sections, ensuring the creation of exceptional desserts and baked goods that elevate the resort’s dining experience. Your role involves creativity, precision, and a dedication to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the pastry and bakery sections.
  • Develop and implement innovative recipes and seasonal menu items.
  • Ensure the highest quality and consistency in food production, presentation, and taste.
  • Create visually stunning food displays for special events and occasions.
  • Uphold hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with HACCP guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to deliver memorable dining experiences.

Your Skills & Experiences

We are looking for a passionate individual with a proven track record in pastry arts and leadership:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role at an international luxury brand.
  • Maldives Work Experience: Previous experience in the Maldives is a plus.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong communication and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for aesthetics and a creative approach to dessert presentation.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of HACCP and safety standards.
  • Cultural Awareness: Ability to work harmoniously with a multicultural team.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
