Position: Human Resources Administrator – Local
We are seeking a Human Resources Administrator who will play a vital role in supporting the daily HR operations at Sandies Bathala Maldives. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and HR practices, and who thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- HR Operations Management: Oversee and manage key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and staff welfare.
- Employee Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of staff members, ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.
- Performance Management: Assist in organizing performance appraisals and employee evaluations, ensuring they align with company goals and standards.
- Employee Relations: Act as a liaison between staff and management, addressing employee concerns, promoting team-building activities, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Payroll Administration: Support the HR team in payroll processing, ensuring all records are accurately maintained and timely submissions are made.
- Compliance: Ensure the company’s HR practices comply with local labor laws, regulations, and policies.
- HR Administration Support: Assist with HR-related documentation, policies, and reports.
- Training and Development: Help coordinate training programs to enhance the skill sets of the team and ensure staff members meet their full potential.
Job Requirements:
- Experience: 1-2 years of work experience in a similar HR role, ideally within a luxury resort in the Maldives.
- Technical Skills: A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel is essential. Previous experience with HR software is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. The ability to communicate with team members from diverse backgrounds is essential.
- Self-Motivation: Able to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Personality Traits: Outgoing, social, and approachable. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a multicultural team.
- Problem Solving: A proactive, “Can-Do” attitude, with the ability to make effective decisions and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Experience working in a multicultural team with a positive attitude toward diversity.
