You will be part of the Front Office Department and responsible for the guest experience from check-in to check-out. Role and Responsibilities
As a Guest Experience Host, your core responsibilities will revolve around ensuring that every guest receives the exceptional experience that Velassaru Maldives is known for. Your key duties will include:
- Guest Interaction: Engage with guests both upon their arrival and throughout their stay, ensuring a personalized touch is delivered to make them feel welcomed and valued.
- Guest Feedback: Conduct courtesy calls and gather feedback through the Courtesy Call Log. You will actively resolve any guest concerns and ensure that issues are addressed efficiently.
- Service Excellence: Ensure that guests' expectations are exceeded throughout their stay by offering seamless service and anticipating their needs.
- Handling Guest Issues: Take note of any issues reported by guests and ensure that they are logged into the Opera PMS and acted upon swiftly.
- Guest Check-In & Check-Out: Carry out guest check-ins according to the resort’s SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and SLH (Small Luxury Hotels) standards.
- Guest Experience Reporting: Ensure that guest experience reports are released on time and that guests’ feedback is collected and shared to maintain service excellence.
- Multilingual Communication: Fluent English and Russian communication skills are required to ensure that all guests feel fully understood and attended to.
Qualifications & Requirements
To be considered for the Guest Experience Host position at Velassaru Maldives, the ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications and experience:
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience working in the Front Office Department within a five-star luxury hotel or resort.
- Technical Knowledge: Sound knowledge of Opera (or Fidelio) Property Management System (PMS) and proficiency in office packages.
- Guest-Centric: Exceptional customer service skills, with a strong focus on delivering an outstanding guest experience.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively, ensuring all guest requests are met promptly.
- Fluency in Languages: Proficiency in both English and Russian (additional languages will be a plus).
- Personal Attributes: A vibrant personality with a passion for hospitality, a strong desire to exceed guest expectations, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
