Position: Executive Housekeeper
As the Executive Housekeeper, you will be a crucial part of the resort’s housekeeping department. Your role will involve overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping team to ensure that the resort maintains its impeccable standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. You will be responsible for managing the cleanliness of all guest rooms, public areas, and other facilities while ensuring the team operates in a smooth and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: Oversee the daily housekeeping operations to ensure all rooms, villas, and public areas meet the highest cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Team Management: Lead, train, and motivate the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional service. Coach and mentor team members to ensure their development and growth within the company.
- Inventory Management: Maintain and control housekeeping inventory, ensuring an adequate supply of cleaning materials and amenities at all times.
- Budget and Cost Control: Monitor and manage housekeeping department budgets, P&L, and forecasting, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as front office, maintenance, and guest services to ensure that all guest needs are met promptly.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure that OBLIJ XPERIENCE Ailafushi’s cleanliness standards are consistently upheld.
- Guest Satisfaction: Ensure that guests are greeted with a pristine environment and any special requests are handled swiftly and professionally.
Requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role at a resort in the Maldives, with a strong track record of managing a large team in housekeeping operations.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership abilities to manage, motivate, and inspire a multicultural team, maintaining a positive work environment.
- Knowledge: Sound knowledge of all areas of housekeeping, including public areas, guest rooms, and laundry operations.
- Qualifications: A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, such as hospitality management or housekeeping operations.
- Technical Skills: Good command of MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and experience working with large inventory reports.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and spoken English communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Financial Acumen: Proven experience in working with budgets, P&L, forecasting, and inventory controls to ensure the efficient operation of the housekeeping department.
- Motivation & Training: A passion for mentoring and coaching team members, ensuring they receive the training and support necessary to succeed.
