About the Role: Executive Chef
As an Executive Chef, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our culinary offerings reflect the elegance and quality that VARU by Atmosphere is renowned for. This is a challenging yet rewarding position for a driven professional who takes pride in creating exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
- Innovate and curate menus that cater to a diverse international clientele while incorporating local Maldivian flavors.
- Manage and mentor a multicultural culinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Maintain compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, including HACCP and LOA protocols.
- Monitor inventory, control costs, and ensure efficient kitchen operations in a high-paced environment.
Requirements
To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Experience: A minimum of three years in a similar leadership role within a five-star resort.
- International Exposure: Experience working in diverse cultural settings, particularly in the Maldives.
- Leadership: Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a dynamic team.
- Culinary Expertise: In-depth knowledge of global cuisines, food trends, and dietary requirements.
- Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Certifications: Comprehensive understanding of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
