Job Description:
As a Commis, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting dishes to the highest standard, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish. Working closely with the kitchen team, you’ll contribute to the creation of a diverse range of meals that meet guest expectations for taste, presentation, and originality.
Your duties will include:
- Preparing ingredients and dishes according to the specified recipes.
- Assisting senior chefs in the kitchen to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, adhering to safety standards.
- Ensuring the presentation of food is of the highest quality and in line with Anantara's standards.
- Managing food stock, ordering ingredients, and minimizing waste.
- Assisting with menu preparation and other kitchen-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Culinary School graduate.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Commis in a luxury 5-star resort or restaurant.
- Fluent in spoken English.

- Knowledge of basic food preparation, presentation, and preservation techniques.
- Familiarity with hygiene and safety procedures.
