Job Summary

As a Chef de Partie - Teppanyaki, you’ll play a vital role in our Hamakaze kitchen, upholding the highest culinary standards under the guidance of the Teppanyaki Chef. You’ll contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while maintaining an organized, clean, and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support food production in the Hamakaze kitchen, specializing in Teppanyaki and sushi dishes.
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, sanitized, and well-organized at all times.
  • Maintain accountability for guest feedback scores and continually strive to exceed expectations.
  • Ensure all team members follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and standardized recipes.
  • Monitor daily house counts to adjust food production levels, minimizing waste and ensuring optimal food turnover.
  • Promote a safe, efficient, and productive work environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.

Candidate Profile

We’re looking for a culinary professional who embodies the spirit of Kurumba Maldives. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Previous experience in sushi or Teppanyaki in a five-star hotel.
  • A willingness to work on a remote island.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • A diploma in Culinary Arts or relevant studies (preferred but not required).
