Located at the entrance of the SinaMale' Bridge in Malé, the park was inaugurated by Minister of Construction and Infrastructure Dr. Abdulla Muththalib and Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Wang Lixin. The ministry stated that the park not only celebrates the amicable ties between the two countries but also aims to foster closer community connections.
The park features seating areas for visitors to relax and includes a display of photographs depicting various stages of the bridge's construction.
The SinaMale' Bridge, a significant infrastructure project, was built with substantial assistance from China. The total project cost approximately USD 200 million, with USD 116 million provided as free aid from the Chinese government. An additional USD 72 million was granted as a loan, while the Maldivian government contributed USD 12 million.
