Qatar and Ooredoo Strengthen Collaboration for Future Growth

Qatar’s newly appointed Ambassador to the Maldives, Jassim bin Jaber Jassim Al Sorour, has pledged to strengthen Qatar’s partnership with Ooredoo Maldives during a visit to the company's headquarters in Hulhumalé today.

Welcomed by Ooredoo Maldives’ leadership, including CEO Khalid Al-Khamadi, the ambassador was briefed on the telecommunications giant’s role in advancing the Maldives’ digital landscape. Discussions centered on Ooredoo's ongoing projects, the company’s contributions to the local tech sector, and future plans aimed at enhancing digital accessibility and connectivity across the island nation.

Ooredoo, a leading Qatari investment in the Maldives, plays a pivotal role in the country’s technological advancement. Ambassador Al Sorour underscored the importance of the strong bilateral relations between Qatar and the Maldives, noting Ooredoo’s significant presence as one of Qatar’s largest foreign investments.
